Beaver Weekend Work Project List
PLEASE NOTE!!!!: If you wish to sign up for a work project, email Joe Culpepper and he will assign you a project. Also be sure to check the work projects list above to see which alternate project(s) you wish to sign up for.
The work project file above has a list of what tools to bring for each project. Also there is a list of equipment that Troy will provide at camp.
All Units in Campsites #1 - #13 should set up their campsite before doing work projects. (At least one tent should already be set up as an example of how to erect the tents)
Put tents on frames – see example of how to lace up corners. The "No Fire" sign goes on the inside.
Set up 2 cots per tent. Do not put cots under frames that do not have tents. Match wood with wood and metal with metal. We have both wooden and metal cots.(there are two metal style cots).
Tie all corners
Level all tent platforms with concrete block. Start at the high ground point with a 4" block and level from there with block and wood.
Clean up any down trees/limbs. Haul brush to woods, stack firewood.
Complete the Campsite Inventory form and turn it into the Camp Director at the Open Shelter.
People required -- all troop scouts and adults.
Tools needed -- knife, level
Beaver Weekend Food Information
As part of your fee to attend, Catawba Lodge provides meals for the entire weekend. Like most people in the US, there are those Scouts and Scouters that have food allergies or have certain foods that they cannot eat. Please fill out that information in the registration form to let the Lodge Cook Team know how they can accommodate your food needs.
If you have more than 5 people from your unit that have food issues, the Lodge asks that you put the information into a document and email it to the Cook Team.
Beaver Weekend Candidate Information
